Infant
Community (Birth
- 18 months)
The
infant classroom ratios are 4 children to every 1 teacher.
The classroom can hold 8 children.
The curriculum for
birth – 18 months is the child. Each
baby needs to eat, sleep, be diapered, and play on his/her
own body schedule.
Your baby will have
his/her needs met according to his or her own biological
rhythm. This allows for your
baby to learn to
trust what his/her own body is saying to them. By observing
and staying in tune to your baby’s individual needs,
we can personalize your child’s care. Staff keep daily
records and inform you of happenings so you can be involved
as much as possible in your baby’s daily experience
as well as coordinate his home care.
The curriculum focuses on:
- Independent Playtime and freedom
of movement
- gross motor skills
- problem solving
- exploration
- Language development
- singing
- sign language
- speaking in both English and Spanish
- Cognitive development
- Thru games, matching, ordering, comparing,
and memory
