The
Montessori School of Corpus Christi (MSCC) was established
in 1980. Since that time many of our graduates have been accepted
into and attended gifted and talented programs, maintained honor
roll status in various schools around the community, and become
members of a variety of clubs and organizations.
The MSCC serves
children from birth
through six years of age. We offer a unique approach to develop
the whole child emotionally, intellectually and physically.
To accomplish this total development,
we follow the educational philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori,
an Italian physician and pioneer in child development from
the early 1900s, who observed that children have a natural desire
to learn for themselves through stimulating hands-on activities
that help them grow into self-motivated, independent learners.
In addition, we provide enrichment in Spanish, Music, and Art.
This allows for learning to take place through a child's various
senses and provides a unique learning experience.

I
have been so pleased with every aspect of the Montessori
classroom
for my son…[He] loves his teachers and is always
eager to go to school. He has grown into an inventive
little thinker
because of his Montessori experience. Thank you.

Montessori
makes children more independent and confident. They make
their own choices and know the consequences of their actions.

environment that fosters confidence, self assurance, respect
for others and their surrounds, while developing problem
solving strategies.
